Instructions for Camp Pads

Ultralight Camp Pads
Self-Inflating Camp Bed & Camp Pad

ULTRALIGHT CAMP PADS

INFLATE

1. Unpack and unroll your camp pad on a clean surface.

2. Open inflate/deflate valve to "INFLATE" position.

3. Locate the pump sack and attach it to the inflate/deflate valve.

4. Open the pump sack, position your mouth 10-12 inches from the opening and blow air into pump sack.
 a. IMPORTANT: Do not position your mouth on/near the pump sack opening. This will introduce moisture into the pump sack and camp pad.
 b. TIP: By placing your mouth 10-12 inches away from the pump sack opening, the stream of air from your mouth "pulls in" ambient air that fills up the pump sack faster!

5. Once the pump sack is loosely filled with air, close the pump sack.
6. Roll the pump sack from the top near the opening down to push air into camp pad.

7. Continue the fill and roll process until your camp pad reaches the desired firmness.
8. Close inflate/deflate valve.

9. To fine tune camp pad firmness, use the micro adjust feature on the inflate/deflate valve in the "INFLATE" position to remove small amounts of air. You can also add air using "INFLATE" position on the inflate/deflate valve and repeating steps 4 through 8.

DEFLATE

1. Open inflate/deflate valve to the "DEFLATE" position. Air will rapidly exit the camp pad.

2. With the camp pad still flat on the ground, push the remaining air out.

3. Once the camp pad is mostly flat, fold into 1/4th lengthwise and roll the camp pad body tightly starting from the end opposite of the inflate/deflate valve. Push air out as you go.

4. Put camp pad back in carry bag with the pump sack and cinch.

SELF-INFLATING CAMP BED & CAMP PAD

INFLATE

1. Unpack and unroll your camp pad/bed on a clean surface, valve side up.

2. Open the inflate valve to the "INFLATE" position and allow the camp pad/bed to fill with air.

3. Once inflated, close the inflate valve to the "MICRO ADJUSTMENT" position and test for desired firmness.

4. Use the micro adjust valve to remove air as desired.

5. If additional firmness is desired, add air by attaching pump sack to the inflate valve at the "MICRO ADJUSTMENT" setting.

7. Once the pump sack is loosely filled with air, close the pump sack.

8. Roll the pump sack from the top near the opening down to push air into camp pad/bed.

9. Continue the fill and roll process until your camp pad/bed reaches the desired firmness.
10. Close inflate valve.

DEFLATE

1. Open DEFLATE valve(s) on your camp pad/bed.

2. Turn camp pad/bed over so the deflate valves are facing down.
3. Starting at the end opposite the deflate valve(s), roll and compress the camp pad/bed pushing air out as you go.
 a. NOTE: AMPEX deflate valves on self-inflating products are designed to not allow air back into the camp pad/bed once pushed out. This allows you to roll and compress without air rushing back in while you reposition your body!

4. Once fully rolled and compressed, close the deflate valve.
5. Put camp pad/bed back in carry bag with the pump sack and cinch.
