Warranty
AMPEX products are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product.
The life of the product can vary based on its age and how it is used. Items may be repaired or replaced at the discretion of AMPEX. If an identical product is not available, the most comparable product may be substituted, or credit towards a different AMPEX product may be offered. (Reference Product Lifetime Table below).
If a product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect, AMPEX will repair it without charge, or replace it, at the discretion of the manufacturer. Only original, unaltered, and unmodified items and workmanship are covered. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, alterations, misuse, neglect, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use. Storm and wind damage, burns, UV damage, and products used for commercial use are specifically not covered. Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee may be charged for shipping.
Service under this warranty is provided to the original consumer purchaser with proof of purchase from an AMPEX authorized dealer. AMPEX products purchased from unauthorized 3rd party retailers or in as-is or used condition are specifically not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not cover consequential damages, or any other losses caused by any defect in the product.
Attention California Customers: Effective July 1, 2023, for any consumer goods sold in the state of California, the warranty period will commence on the date of delivery, not the original date of purchase, notwithstanding any inconsistent language here or elsewhere.
AMPEX products eligible for the Limited Lifetime Warranty are covered to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product.
